Berlin Quantum Pioneer Jury Award
The MyoQuant team received the Berlin Quantum Pioneer Jury Award for their work on miniaturizing highly sensitive atomic magnetometers, designed initially for biomedical applications, with additional potential for industrial sensing and geophysical exploration.

IQS Group retreat 2024
For our group excursion, this year we went to the small town of Beelitz to visit the historic sanatoriums which were established there around the year 1900.

BOS.QT retreat to the Müritz
Several doctoral students of our group participated in this year’s retreat, which underscores the strong academic and research environment fostered by BOS.QT and highlights the collaborative spirit across the participating institutions — HU, TU and FU Berlin — in partnership with several non-university research organizations. As a part of the ongoing commitment to fostering a vibrant academic community, this event provided an excellent platform for participants to exchange ideas, form new collaborations, and engage with leaders in the field of quantum technologies.

The third INSQT Workshop on Space Quantum Internet is hosted by our group! It focusses on developing global quantum networks and especially on enabling technologies and key components.

New position available
We are looking for a research assistant (Ph.D. / postDoc) for the BMBF flagship project AeroQGrav. Within this project, a gravimeter for use onboard an airplane is to be built, for which we provide the autonomously working laser system. Our Matter wave team is in Estes Park, Colorado at ICOLS 2023 and presenting our latest results on atom interferometry on long time-scales in microgravity. The conference is a get-together of the laser spectroscopy, matter wave and quantum technology communities, providing a great venue for networking.
